SUICIDE CLUTCH……A DEFINITION
Originally posted by Buck Lovell on Monday, 12 December 2011 in Buck Lovell’s – American Biker Blog RIDING WITH NO FRONT BRAKE CAN BE SUICIDE, BUT IT’S FUN THOUGH!! I’ve seen the term “suicide shifter” used in describing a plain old ordinary tank shift. Simple ignorance caused that. There is however such a thing as a “Suicide Clutch.” I’ll tell ya why. Back in the good old days, long before foot shift was standard equipment, tank shift and foot clutch was the method used. Let’s use Harley-Davidson motorcycles as an example. The foot clutch was of the rocker type, meaning it […]
WOUNDED WARRIOR CUSTOM MOTORCYCLE
Originally posted by Buck Lovell on Monday, 05 December 2011 in Buck Lovell’s – American Biker Blog THEY REALLY ARE TWISTED… I don’t know how these mufflers are manufactured with a complete twist, but these slip-on mufflers from Twisted Industry truly are twisted. According to the manufacturer Twisted slip on mufflers extract the exhaust gases more efficiently than the stock muffler, and sound better too. The first things to get swapped on a new motorcycle are the exhaust and air cleaner. I wonder if Twisted Industries has plans to produce a Twisted Air Cleaner to match the slip on mufflers? Available […]
SHE DOESN’T LIKE JESSE JAMES…….
Originally posted by Buck Lovell on Thursday, 08 December 2011 in Buck Lovell’s – American Biker Blog Dec 8, 2011 This comment from Roz Zurko of the Examiner.com; “American Chopper’s” Biker Build Off was a loss for Jesse James in more ways than one. Jesse James lost first place to Pauly Jr.’s more modern creation, but his biggest loss came when James also used the “Biker Build Off” competition as a platform to delve into his past again, negating any headway he made with fans up until that point. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Sandra Bullock fans are angry at James’ […]

WHAT THE HELL IS THAT?
Originally posted by Buck Lovell on Friday, 25 November 2011 in Buck Lovell’s – American Biker Blog WHY I OUGHTA….. Taking a perfectly good Harley-Davidson Softail and turning into a piece of dung as seen here should be against the law. That is a Softail ain’t it? Dung is not an expletive…not yet anyway. Hell, people have been lynched for less in the wild wild west. Then again, the rider of this motorcycle seems to be enlightened, possibly due to the use of hallucinogenics, large amount of hallucinogenics. There can be no other logical conclusion. Of course LSD could be the […]
BEING A BIKER IN SOUTH DAKOTA
Originally posted by Buck Lovell on Sunday, 27 November 2011 in Buck Lovell’s – American Biker Blog THE STUFF ON THE ROAD Living in the South Dakota, Wyoming area where cattle ranching is the predominate industry means folks must contend with things that most city bikers do not. That’s a given. We enjoy this life and all it has to offer, well mostly all. If you’re riding a freshly washed motorcycle near Beulah Wyoming and you encounter a moving road block on the frontage road as seen here I would advise you turn around and go back the way you came. […]
NO STATE TRADEMARK FOR the NAME STURGIS!!…..
SOUTH DAKOTA Secretary of State Gant reminds trademark applicants about what cannot be trademarked. This is in reponse to the tremendous reaction caused by certain groups who lay claim to the name Sturgis that are trying to prevent others from using the name Sturgis on products they are selling. Buck Lovell….. Secretary of State Jason Gant noted today that the public should be aware that South Dakota Law places certain restrictions on trademarks, and those seeking to trademark their name for exclusive use need not apply. “South Dakota law does not allow persons to simply trademark a name or a […]
